McDavid Knee Products

Our roots can be traced back to 1969 when Dr. Robert F. McDavid designed and developed what was to become the first widely used lateral protective knee brace in football. In 1980, after 11 years of grass roots development at the collegiate and professional sports medicine levels, McDavid Knee Guard, Inc. was formed to market protective braces and began operating from a basement in Bellwood, IL.  

Today, from our early beginnings in a basement we now manufacture and market over 250 different innovative products for athletes and active people of all ages.
