Arthritis knee braces are sometimes referred to as "Unloader" knee braces. These are highly specialized braces that reduce the pressure on a knee joint that has developed arthritic changes. These changes usually manifest themselves with decreased cartilage, joint space narrowing, angular changes, and bone spur formation, resulting in pain and restricted motion. These braces change the angle of your knee joint with special hinges to reduce the pressure on the joint. It is recommended that you consult with your physician before purchasing this type of  brace.
