Gladiator XT™ Application Instructions

Bio Skin® should be applied to dry skin. Oils, lotions and perspiration will make the support harder to put on and will make it will feel as if it's sized too small. Dry the area of application before applying support. Take the support with both hands and stretch the top and bottom of the support two to three times. This helps to relax the material before its gets broken-in.

BioSkin Gladiator XT Knee Brace Application Instructions

1. Before applying the Gladiator XT™, determine if hinges need to be adjusted to fit the leg's contour.

Lay the brace on the medial (inside) side of the leg and locate the hinge in its proper position over the condyle (the bony prominence on the side of the knee), and adjust the struts accordingly by bending them into proper alignment with the contour of the leg.

Repeat that process for the lateral (outside) portion of the leg.

2. Once the struts have been properly aligned, loosen any circumferential straps. Start from a sitting position when applying the GladiatorTM. Pull the entire support past the heel, then from a standing position, with a firm grip on the finger tabs, pull and center the support over the patella (knee cap). For the front closure start from a sitting position.

3. To adjust the hinge range of motion, pull the fabric away from the hinge and lift the hinge cover. Remove and apply pins to the desired degrees of flexion and extension and make sure that the pins are properly set in position. Close the hinge cover and repeat the same procedure on the opposite hinge.
